The Purpose of Post 8083 Honor Guard
Our Post has an outstanding group of volunteers who participate in our Honor Guard. Every eligible veteran deserves a basic military funeral honors ceremony, we typically perform these ceremonies in our community and the National Cemetery in Bushnell, but we have traveled to locations up to 45 minutes away. The ceremony includes a 3 volley rifle salute, playing of Taps and the presentation of the flag.
